Continue from TaLong...

The rain, the river, and the tears

A window has been blurred with an unceasing rain
That is listening to so much piled-up sadness…
in deep heart of a young girl.
She sits there, and silently looks at the curtain of rain,
A white-dimmed drape is inundating her vision.

How many times must hide together with the rain,
she doesn’t remember all;
But never be forgettable, her memory lives in a voice choked with sobs,
Does never return her sister, and her ancestor land
that also lost in a rainy night,
As only one simple thing, she lives with the river.

The river has been still lying, under a dull rain;
It silently flows in common with the deep pangs of parting.
Because of its robbed partial bodies, from uncontrolled ambitions;
For the time being all are just in memory, never get back!

But the sun will come back with the river,
And brings who think about Mother river’s giving
birth and a settled position to.
The river still currents, but full of sinewy vitality;
Just remain a sparkle glint from the girl’s soul,
with the river bathed
in radiant sunlight.

Aboved are villagers living on the bank of Salween River (Mother river=Mae nam so that we call Mee Kong, in fact Mae Kong) where is the border between Burma and Thailand. They are refugee from Karen state, who lost their own close relatives, land, culture. Now they live without citizenship, hence they can not do anything as a normal citizen, like neither Burmese nor Thai. But they are still living, believe in the future and our communities, and love the nature. They cried, they might smile now, and they will be happy. It depends on their position, from their believes, and with our help.
Thanks a lot for your attention,
TaLong
